South Australia’s first Sea Ray Aquapalooza a hit!
The Marina Hindmarsh Island recently hosted South Australia’s first Sea Ray Aquapalooza and what a hit it was!
Whilst Adelaide sweltered the temperature on the South Coast dropped below 30 degrees in the afternoon with a beautiful sea breeze, much to the delight of the crowd.
Cooling off wasn’t a problem as the ‘in water’ viewing area was by far the biggest attraction with most jumping into a free Club Marine life buoy to watch the action.
All berths were full and raft-ups a plenty as 120 boats attended the event in style and more watched on from the sheltered grass shore line.
Local artist Chris Armiger performed a wide variety of acoustic covers to warm everyone up before the popular, Flaming Sambucas took to the stage. The crowd couldn’t get enough of the entertainment chanting for an encore at 6.45pm which was granted by the Sambucas.
Andrew Chapman, Chief Executive of The Marina Hindmarsh Island said “Yesterday’s atmosphere was electric with everyone already talking of next year’s event. It’s great to see so many people getting a taste of the Sea Ray boating lifestyle here at The Marina Hindmarsh Island.“
